Stoett Retractable Screens

Project

Increase leads through clarifying product offering and attracting qualified visitors.

Strategy Mix

Ongoing strategy evolution

Presentation design

Programming

Web analytics

SEO

PPC

Challenge

On the web first impressions are everything. So when Stoett wanted to increase the number of leads they were receiving, they partnered with Effect to clarify their product offering in hopes of making more lasting first impressions that would lead to sales. The mechanical nature of their retractable screens required a creative way for potential customers to instantly understand how their product worked and how it was different from lower-end, DIY versions. Stoett also needed a way to help guide visitors to the right product for their application.

Solution

Effect established a holistic web strategy for Stoett which included a new website and a prominent motion graphics presentation. Visitors immediately grasped the concept of how a retractable screen could provide them comfort and luxury in their home and that this was more than a “box-store” solution.

Effect also created an interactive tool to help customers find the right Stoett product for their application based on values they input like opening type and size. Under the hood, Effect designed a handful of tools to help Stoett streamline some of their internal processes which allowed them to save time and manpower.

To attract qualified traffic to the site, Effect employed a tactical search engine optimization (SEO) campaign along with pay-per-click (PPC) ads. On an ongoing basis Effect and Stoett continued to evolve the web strategy to achieve growth.

Results

The new website and correlating tools became the foundation for Stoett’s overall marketing strategy. They were able to achieve their goal of clarifying how their products worked and functioned and thus increased leads. ”Because of the combination of a better website layout and the Find the Right Product tool I think our customers are more clear on our product offerings and the custom size capabilities we can manufacture,” said Chris Stover, President.

New website had a very low rate of people who immediately left the site, a direct result of SEO and PPC efforts to attract qualified traffic

20% of visitors utilized the Find the Right Product tool

Traffic from Google increased 733%

Website was consistently in the top spot on Google for Stoett’s most competitive key phrases

Challenge

As more teachers have turned to the web for resources for their classrooms, Smekens Education knew that to achieve their goal of being the leader in their industry, that they’d have to more effectively engage teachers online. Smekens wanted to increase online sales and registrations for their training seminars.

Solution

One part called the Literacy Store, was an eCommerce site which featured easy-to-follow navigation and the capability of having special sales and discounts. The other part highlighted Smekens teaching seminars and consulting services. Effect also created the Idea Library, an interactive social tool for teachers to post and share ideas for the classroom.

Brandenberry Amish Furniture

Project

Establish credibility for a new brand of handcrafted Amish furniture.

Strategy Mix

Ongoing strategy evolution

Presentation design

Online catalog

Programming

Web analytics

SEO

Challenge

When Brandenberry, an emerging brand, entered the congested market of Amish furniture, they turned to Effect to help them leverage the web. They wanted to drive foot traffic to their bricks-and-mortar store and generate interest in the form of quote requests by showcasing their beautiful handcrafted furniture.

Solution

Effect created a new goal-focused website that channeled visitors toward one of three goals. Users could get directions and a map to the store, browse the online catalog to view products and request a quote, or sign up for the enewsletter. Effect reinforced the new website with a strong SEO strategy to attract qualified visitors through Google.

Results

The new website successfully established Brandenberry as a high-end, handcrafted Amish furniture company. Through the user-friendly online catalog Brandenberry was able to generate interest and buzz which resulted in increased foot traffic at their bricks-and-mortar store, as well as many people requesting quotes online.

18% of visitors went to the contact page

50% of all visitors viewed at least one product in the online catalog

Website ranked on the first page of Google for 85% of the target key phrases within three months, which is very quick for a brand new domain name

Client

Chaneco

Project

Effective eCommerce site

Strategy Mix

Initial strategy planning

Presentation design

Programming

Ecommerce

Content management system

Challenge

Chaneco was the leading orthopedic footwear company in the UK but their growth potential was limited without an effective eCommerce site.

Solution

Effect partnered with Chaneco to develop an eCommerce site that would make the ordering experience very simple. Because most of Chaneco’s products are made to order, customers could easily choose from a number of custom options. Effect also developed the eCommerce site to integrate with Chaneco’s internal inventory system, thus streamlining the ordering process all the way to the manufacturing process.

Results

Chaneco’s eCommerce site was easy to use and conveyed their high level of professionalism which made their customers comfortable ordering online. One competitor started buying products directly from Chaneco because they didn’t want to compete with the new site. “The result has been tremendous! Within the first month of our redesign, we’ve acquired new hospital accounts, new European distributors, and many catalog requests,” said David Atherall, IT Director.
